Day 12

This is my favorite picture of all my siblings taken on my birthday in 2007. I just love how all of our facial expressions show our personalities. As you can see we are a pretty silly family, but that is why I love them. We can always be ourselves around each other and most importantly have fun!

Day 11

Volleyball has always been my favorite sport. I played all four years in high school as well as on a BYU-I competitive inter-mural team. I wish I could play more because I love it so much! I miss being a part a team and having friends and family cheer us on. I'm looking forward to the summer because I found a girl in my ward who is putting together a team! Can't wait!

Here is a picture of my very talented sister Tori, she is only a freshman and played on her JV & Varsity volleyball team! She is so fun to watch!

Day 10

I love guitar and I'm so thankful that Chad can play, he is so good even if he won't admit it. There is nothing like sitting around the campfire and listening to guitar. This makes me so anxious for summertime! This picture was taken last summer on a family camping trip at Devils Head in Colorado. Chad was teaching my sister Tesa a Jack Johnson song called "Home". Day 9

I love SMILES! This is a picture taken on my wedding day of my best friends (from left to right) AdriAnne, Catherine, (me), Janelle, and Carly. These amazing girls can always make me smile no matter what and I absolutely love them for that! I am so thankful to have such awesome friends! Smiling and laughter make everyday go so much better. Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn someones day around. :)

Day 8

I love family dinner! It is such a treat to be able to sit down with family at the end of the day and enjoy each others company. There is just something about a home-cooked meal that is so comforting. Going out to dinner once in a while is great, but nothing replaces a home-cooked meal around the dinner table. Even if it's just Chad and I, it's a great time to forget about the busy world around us and just talk! In this day and age I think it's easy to get caught up in our busy schedules and forget to take the time to stop and enjoy the moment. Now is the time to focus on the things that matter most :)

Day 7

This book makes my happy :) and I encourage anyone who hasn't read it to read it. This novel simply tells the story of Ammon, Luke, Sam and their younger sister Elizabeth and their fighting to save their brothers, who are undecided on the choices they make, as their choices will set their destiny. I am amazed at how spiritual this story is and how the author makes you really think about our pre-mortal days and how it can impact our mortal lives. It uses similarities of this life to help explain the spirit world before we came to this earth. So far I love it and it has really given me different perspective on the pre-mortal life.

Day 6

I am so grateful for creativity and crafts! I have always loved making things and being creative. After Stake Conference today I had the idea of making this quote to go above our sink in our kitchen. It was super easy and I thought it turned out pretty cute! All I did was print off the quote on some white sketch book paper, soak the paper in a mixture of warm water and vanilla then rub some cinnamon on it to give it some texture. I blow dried the paper until it was completely dry, glued it to some grass green construction paper and hot glued some goodies I had left over in my craft box from previous projects. The little bow is made out of hemp and the squares in the corners are 1" x 1" glass tiles with some great visual texture. After the hot glue set I simply put in a frame and this is how it turned out! The frame and color scheme is a great addition to our small kitchen. The metallic frame correlates with the stainless steel toaster and spice rack, and the fabulous green compliments our red pots and cutting board!
