Nursery Sneak Peak!

So I know I haven't blogged in a LONG LONG time, but I am determined to start up again to keep all our friends and family updated on our upcoming new addition! I am due on September 26th, meaning 11 days and counting people! At my 36 week appointment my doctor freaked me out and said I could have this baby within the next 1-3 week because I was already dilating and 80% effaced. So that news was pretty nerve racking, but here I am over 38 weeks and still no baby. I feel like a ticking time bomb. Every night I think to myself "This could be the night!" I guess this little girl is just being stubborn.

Anyway, I thought I would do a nursery sneak peek before the baby is born. I have been working on this room for quite some time now and have really enjoyed designing/putting everything together!

Here is a full room shot (sorry I'm not a photographer).  It took me a while to come up with a color scheme, but I finally decided on a muted turquoise, pink, cream, with gold accents. I am pleased on how everything came together.

Luckily my mom gave me her crib, changing table, and cradle! They are pretty old, but all in great condition!
I made these storage totes out of cardboard and hot glue and covered each one in fabric. I also sewed the changing table pad cover to match!
I made this mirror out of plastic spoons, cardboard, gold spray paint, a mirror, and hot glue. This project took a while, but it is by far my favorite thing in the room. I also made the "You are my sunshine" frame. I bought the frame from DI, spray painted it white, and created the quote on Adobe Illustrator. The miniature banner was just some of the left over fabric I had.

I found this glider chair on KSL for only $15! It is in great condition and I didn't have to do anything to it!
I bought this chalkboard from JoAnn's and just painted the frame and added the flower and ribbon to hang it.

I made these cute headband holders from some wood samples I had from when I worked at the Standard Plumbing kitchen and bath showroom in Rexburg. I knew I could use them for something! All I had to buy was the hardware and then add the ribbon to hang.

My sister Tasia made this cute plaque and I absolutely LOVE it!

Can't wait to bring out little girl home!
